Welcome

We are a long  established fishing society established over a 100 years ago and based in Nantwich Cheshire.  Primarily a leisure fishing club with a growing membership of all ages.  We welcome new members to our club and our society is affiliated to the Angling Trust.

Our Waters include

River Weaver -  The River Weaver flows through the picturesque Elizabethan market town of Nantwich and out into the surrounding farmland. Within walking distance of the town are numerous places for fishing which are easily accessible (with free parking).  The fishing varies from slower moving water in the fishing pools by the lakes, to faster flowing water in the mainstreams.   Good all year round fishing with good chub, perch, dace, carp, pike, grayling, roach,gudgeon, tench, brown and rainbow trout.

River Tern - Waters Upton Near Hodnet -Set in unspoilt farmland in Shropshire,  the River Tern is a narrow but deceptive river that flows eventually into the River Severn at Atcham.  Good water with gin clear water in summer for dace, pike, chub, perch and trout.

River Severn - Leighton Bridge near Welshpool.  The river Severn water  having three beats that are shared with another local club Crewe Amalgamated Anglers and with NAS having exclusive access to their own stretch of a adjoining beat as well.  Beautifull water set in idylic scenery  with deep gravel runs for barbel, chub and trout amongst other coarse fishing.

Trent and Mersey Canal at Middlewich - NEW  - The Association has joined a consortium of seven angling clubs in order to secure the lease on the 3 mile stretch at Middlewich (Bridge 163-167) which was formerly held by the Cheshire Anglers match group.

River Dee - As of 1st January 2012 we no longer have access to any the River Dee as the River Dee Association decided to cease all club affilitations.

CLOSED SEASON RULES
CLOSED SEASON ON RIVER's 15TH MARCH TO 15TH JUNE INCLUSIVE -
Only WORM ,SPINNER OR FLY -MUST BE FISHING FOR TROUT AND NOT COARSE FISH. no keep nets allowed during close season
NO GROUNDBAIT, LOOSE FEED, CHOPPED WORM AS FEED OR MAGGOT   

Any other time in the year you can fish by any method - ABOVE methods only apply during closed season.
Please note rules may vary on the Severn - No suspended baits from a float -ledger only.  If in doubt contact the E.A.
